ABOUT TONIA

How I Got to where I am now

Qualifying in 2012 as a Personal Trainer and more recently as a Sports Massage Therapist in 2022.

I have come to realise the human body is one of the most intelligent things on this planet. Unfortunately, very few of us know how to use our bodies correctly.

 

Personally, after years of participating in short and long-distance running events, OCR, CrossFit, and exercise classes from yoga to spin. I have learnt to balance physical training to prevent any health issues but also to incorporate sports or remedial massage to maintain optimum fitness to keep injury at bay. 

 

My own experience has led to my fascination for analysing the way the human body moves and ways to rehabilitate it once injured. These problems occur when tissues become in-balanced and start to cause inefficient movement patterns, caused by poor technique or overuse, if left these can lead to tension headaches, joint and muscle injuries, poor posture, neck, and spine issues etc.​

Massage sessions I focus on restoring movement, with additional prescribed exercises to do at home.

During a PT session, working predominantly on women's fitness, I focus on good form with a full range of movement. 

Both services look to promote efficient long-term recovery and prevent future injuries.
